About this policy
This policy explains what information Juwalio collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. "Juwalio", "we" and "us" mean Jengdev, the developer of the Juwalio app.
In short: what you put in Juwalio stays on your phone, and so do your gems. We have no server and no account for you. Google handles purchases, and if you choose to watch a video for free gems, Google shows it and collects some information about your device to do so.
What you put in Juwalio
Juwalio stores what you create in it on your phone. This includes:
- Goals, tasks, reminders, and the days you completed or skipped them
- Water intake, and the details you give the water calculator, such as weight, height, gender and age
- Shopping lists, shopping history, prices and receipt photos
- Notes, note photos, documents, document scans and their reminders
- Calm sessions, your mood, and your profile name and date of birth
- Reminders you set for other apps
- Your gems, treats, streaks, rewards and Juwalio's growth
None of this is sent to us. We cannot see it, and we do not sell it. It leaves your phone only if you back it up or choose to share it.
Gems and Juwalio Plus
Gems and Juwalio Plus are bought through Google Play. Google handles the payment. We never see your card or bank details.
Juwalio checks each purchase with Google Play on your phone, and adds the gems or the plan there. We keep no copy of your purchases or your gems on a server of our own.
Google Play gives us a record of each order, such as the product, the price, the date, the country and the order ID. We use it only to handle refunds and support requests, and to meet tax and legal duties.
Backups
Google Drive. If you connect a Google account, Juwalio backs up your content to your own Google Drive, not to us. Juwalio asks only for access to the files it creates there, and cannot see anything else in your Drive. Google shares your name and email address so the app can show which account is connected. You can disconnect or delete the backup at any time.
Offline backup. You can save a backup file anywhere you choose. Where that file goes is up to you.
Your phone's backup. If backup is on in your phone's settings, Android also saves Juwalio's data to your Google account, as it does for other apps. Document scans and receipt photos are left out. Google keeps this backup, not us.
Free videos (ads)
Juwalio shows ads only when you choose to: the free videos in Market → Gems, which you start yourself for gems. There are no banners and no ads anywhere else in the app.
The videos come from Google AdMob. When the Gems tab gets a video ready, or you watch one, Google may collect:
- Your device's advertising ID
- Your IP address, and the approximate location it shows
- Information about your device and the app, such as the phone model, Android version and app version
- How you use the ad, such as whether it was shown, watched to the end or tapped
Google uses this to show and measure the ad, to prevent fraud, and, where the law allows, to show ads that suit you. What you put in Juwalio, such as your goals, notes and lists, is never given to it.
In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google asks for your consent before the first video. Everywhere, you can reset your advertising ID or turn off ad personalization in your phone's settings. Google explains how it uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
If Google asked for your consent, you can change your choice at any time in Settings → About Juwalio → Ad Privacy Choices.
What we do not do
- No ads you did not choose: the only ads are the videos you start for free gems
- No analytics, crash reporting or tracking of our own
- No account with us and no server of our own: nothing you put in Juwalio is sent to us
- We do not sell your information
When Juwalio needs the internet
Juwalio needs a connection to buy gems and Juwalio Plus, check your plan with Google Play, play the free videos, and back up to Google Drive. Your goals, lists and notes still open without one.
Permissions
Juwalio asks only for what a feature needs. You can turn each one off in Settings → Permissions or in your phone's settings.
- Notifications, alarms and reminders, to remind you on time
- Display over other apps, so Juwalio can appear when an app reminder is due
- Usage access, to know which app is open for app reminders. This stays on your phone and is never sent to us
- Camera and photos, only when you add a receipt, scan or picture
- Run in the background and start with the phone, so reminders still arrive after a restart
- Vibration, for taps and alarms
- Advertising ID, used only by Google's ads service for the free videos
Reporting a problem
When you contact us or use Report an Issue, your email app sends us your message and your email address. Unless you switch it off, it also sends a diagnostics summary: your phone model, Android version, region, permission settings, how many reminders are set, whether backup is on, and recent app events and errors.
The summary contains no goals, notes, lists, names or birthdays. We use it only to answer you and fix the problem.
Who we share with
We share information only:
- With Google, for Google Play purchases, Google sign-in and Drive backup
- With Google AdMob, for the free videos, as described above
- When the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others
- With a new owner, if Juwalio is sold or merged, who must keep to this policy
How long we keep it
Content on your phone, your gems included, stays until you delete it or uninstall Juwalio. Your Google Drive backup stays until you delete it.
The order records Google Play gives us are kept for as long as refunds, disputes and tax or legal duties need them. Support emails are kept while we need them to help you.
Security
Your content is kept in Juwalio's private storage on your phone, which other apps cannot read. Connections to Google are encrypted.
No method is perfectly secure. Please keep your phone locked and your Google account protected.
Children
Juwalio is not directed at children under 13, or under the minimum age in your country. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can see, change or delete your content in the app at any time. Uninstalling Juwalio removes it from your phone.
We hold no copy of your content or your gems. You can ask us for a copy of your Google Play order records or your emails to us, or ask us to delete them, except what the law requires us to keep. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights. Email us and we will respond within the time the law allows.
Changes to this policy
If Juwalio starts collecting anything new, such as analytics, an account, or keeping your gems or a backup on our own server, we will update this policy and tell you in the app before it starts. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
